Chula Business School Welcomes Global Innovators for Hult Prize 2024 Summit in Bangkok 

The Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy at Chulalongkorn University hosted the “Hult Prize 2024 Global Summits Bangkok” from June 21 to 23, 2024.  This event aimed to discover business ideas focused on sustainable development goals at the international level.  Over 60 teams from 19 countries participated in this competition.  Prof. Dr. Wilert Phuriwat, Acting President of Chulalongkorn University and Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, delivered the opening speech alongside Ms. Lori van Dam, Chief Executive of the Hult Prize Foundation, and Mr. Lars Svensson, Chief Executive of the Sasin Sustainability & Entrepreneurship Center (SEC) at the Chulalongkorn University Auditorium.  

The Hult Prize 2024 Global Summits are held in seven countries across five continents, with over $1,000,000 in prize money awarded to the winning team that creates and extends on a sustainable social enterprise. Each year, the competition attracts university students from over 100 countries. This year marks the first time Thailand has had the honor of hosting the final round of the regional competition. Students from various faculties at Chulalongkorn University collaborated to prepare and organize the event and take care of international competitors. 

Additionally, the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy organized cultural tourism activities in Nakhon Pathom Province, allowing participants from abroad to gain cultural experience and learn about the traditions of Thailand.
