Prof. Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai Appointed Chairman of the University Council 

Chulalongkorn University extends its warmest congratulations to Professor Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai on the occasion of his appointment as the Chairman of the University Council, effective from June 4, 2024, onwards, according to the Announcement of Office of the Prime Minister regarding the appointment of the Chairman of the University Council, dated June 6, 2024. 

Professor Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Law (First Class Honors, Gold Medal) from the Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University, he holds a master’s degree in International Relations from Tufts University and a doctorate in Law from Harvard University.  

Professor Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai formerly served as Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Finance, and Dean of the Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University.
