CU Female Researchers Win ITEX Silver Award

A big congratulations to researchers Ms. Buddareeya Sohsunsa and Ms. Nareeya Wala from The Halal Science Center of Chulalongkorn University, and research advisor Professor Dr. Sukrit Sirikwanpong from the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences for their achievement with the “Antioxidant-riched hydrating lip balm from perilla seed pomace extract”. The invention won a silver award from the “30th International Invention, Innovation, and Technology Exhibition 2019” in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The innovative lip balm formula contains antioxidants and is enriched with omega-3 and alpha linolenic acid from perilla seed pomace.
ITEX is a marketplace for technological and digital inventions that features over 1,000 inventions from 20 countries around the world and attracts visitors from over 50 countries. The Halal Science Center of Chulalongkorn University was 1 of the 79 research submissions from Thailand, supported by the National Research Council of Thailand.
