Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, the President of Chulalongkorn University, welcomed the executives of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd. at the scholarship award ceremony for the 52nd year of the “Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd.” scholarship on February 11, 2025, at Meeting Room 202, Chulalongkorn University’s Chamchuri 4 Building. Associate Professor Dr. Sukanya Sompiboon, Vice President of the university, gave a report on the event.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat expressed gratitude to the executives of Toyota Motor Thailand and gave words of encouragement to the students receiving the scholarships. Mr. Ninnart Chaithirapinyo, Honorary Advisor of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., spoke about the company’s policy to support education and congratulated the students receiving scholarships. A total of 12 scholarships were awarded for the 2024 academic year. The university president also presented a souvenir to the honorary advisor of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd. Following the ceremony, the executives from Chulalongkorn University and Toyota Motor Thailand took a commemorative photo together.
Since 1973, Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd. has provided scholarships to Chulalongkorn University students who excel academically and exhibit good conduct but lack financial support. These scholarships have helped students complete their studies, with a total of 1,627 scholarships awarded, amounting to 22,482,000 baht. For the 2024 academic year, 12 Chulalongkorn University students received scholarships, including 4 students from the Faculty of Engineering, 2 from the Faculty of Arts, 1 from the Faculty of Political Science, 1 from the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, 1 from the Faculty of Dentistry, 2 from the Faculty of Economics, and 1 from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts.
