Sasin School of Management has launched the Sasin DBA (Doctor of Business Administration), a new, part-time doctoral program for experienced leaders with a strong desire to be real-world researchers and reflexive practitioners.
• Part-time, blended learning
The blended learning approach ensures the most productive use of time for busy leaders. The curriculum includes six online courses (study anytime, anywhere) during the first 2 years of the program; each course includes interactive research workshops at Sasin (usually on weekends).
The candidate’s focus in Year 3 will be on completing, presenting, and defending the research thesis.
• Real-world project focus
The program emphasizes evidence-based research to develop practical solutions for real-world problems.
• Drive transformation through research
Sasin DBA candidates will be equipped with the research frameworks and skills they need to lead transformation in their organizations.
• Stepping stone to c-suite
The program is suitable for senior managers, policymakers, independent consultants, professionals and working academics preparing themselves for more advanced leadership and advisory positions. All applicants must have more than 10 years of management experience.
“We find ourselves in an era of unprecedented global challenges, which we call the Age of Perpetual Disruption,” said Professor Ian Fenwick, Ph.D., Director, Sasin School of Management. “The Sasin DBA will equip leaders with the knowledge and skills to rigorously investigate and solve complex real-world problems to thrive in these turbulent times. Sasin DBA graduates will become real-world researchers who investigate problems and scenarios in businesses, industries, and professions. They will systematically collect evidence and use their research results to improve decision-making, design interventions, and create robust solutions.”
Dr. Benjamin Ellway, Sasin DBA Lead, noted the importance of developing experienced leaders with these essential skills. “Reflexive practitioners reflect upon their experiences and question how their own assumptions, values, and skills influence their professional practice. They are highly adaptable, mindful of their own actions, and adopt ethical approaches to decision-making to lead transformation in their organizations.”
Applications are now open for the Class of 2021. Apply before June 30, 2021.
