Chulalongkorn University International Medical Program (CU-MEDi)

The Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University has the determination to become the national leader in medical education, to produce highly-qualified global doctors who take up leadership roles in the medical profession, and give Thailand the international recognition in providing world class healthcare.

The ambition of the CU-MEDi medical program is to give opportunity for bachelor’s graduates to expand their potential from whichever field their undergraduate degree may be; whether science, social science, or arts, if they are interested in medicine.

We want to see the students bring their own individual talents to the medical field. We aim to create, not only future clinicians, but also leaders in other medical-related careers such as bioengineering, medical research or healthcare management.

In the 21st century, when technology is developing faster than ever before, we want to position students at the forefront of medical innovation. To develop innovation skills, students are required to participate in special research projects according to their own interests, and they will receive support from their mentors who have access to the latest projects in their field through collaborations with local and international institutes.

CU-MEDi will employ the latest technologies in medical education, through means such as online learning, telemedicine, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and simulation training. The program provides an adult-learning environment, inspiring creative students who will become doctors that bring innovative ideas to whichever field they choose to enter upon graduation.

CU-MEDi emphasizes the development of students’ leadership skills. Students will receive leadership training at the beginning of the program, and they will have the opportunity to put those skills to use throughout their courses in various group projects and learning methods such as team-based learning and group discussions.
