The program focuses on key issues in policy for population and human development, ranging from demography, population ageing, migration, resources, to the environment, and relating to population changes and public policy design.
Chulalongkorn University is one of the most prestigious and the oldest university in Thailand. THE is an impactful world-class ranking of 1,115 universities worldwide, and THE Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Chulalongkorn University was also ranked first in Thailand for 22 subjects in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject 2021.
The College of Population Studies, Chulalongkorn University, is one of the leading organizations in the field of demography, equipped with knowledge and wisdom for the well-being of Thais and the global population. Our Master of Arts Program in Population Policy and Human Development (MA-POPDEV) (International Program) aims to provide the very best knowledge in demography, as applied to population policy and human development at the organizational and national levels. After completing the extensive one-year program, the demographic and policy knowledge graduates acquire can be applied at administrative and managerial levels of an organization or be used to generate high-quality research.
Master of Arts in Population Policy and Human Development is designed to provide intellectual resources and tools to develop population and human development policies and practices.
The careers with direct relevance to the field include:

Students can be admitted into one of the two plans: A2 or B.
The applicant must have:
English language qualifications as stated by the Graduate School.
1. A bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited educational institution in Thailand or overseas.
2. An English proficiency score which meets one of the tests listed below. The test must have been taken within the last two years.
2. Be currently working at a government, private, non-profit organization, in the area of research and social development, or have at least one year of working experience in a related field (approved by the curriculum committee to apply for study).
